Lavash

This simple, crispy lavash recipe provides a versatile base that you can customize with various seasonings and pair with a variety of toppings. It's a delightful alternative to store-bought crackers and makes for an excellent addition to cheese platters or party snacks.

Ingredients:

Lavash flatbread (store-bought or homemade)

Olive oil

Sea salt

Optional: Herbs and spices of your choice (e.g., dried rosemary, thyme, or garlic powder) [My go to is garlic powder, oregano and chili flakes.

Process:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Lavash:

Lay out the lavash flatbread on a baking sheet.

Brush the surface of the lavash with olive oil. Ensure even coverage.

Seasoning (Optional):

Sprinkle sea salt over the oiled lavash.

Optionally, add herbs and spices of your choice to enhance flavor. Dried rosemary, thyme, or garlic powder work well.

Cut into Desired Shapes:

Use a pizza cutter or a sharp knife to cut the lavash into desired shapes. Triangles or squares work great for easy snacking.

Bake in the Oven:

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown and the lavash becomes crispy.

Cool and Serve:

Remove from the oven and let the crispy lavash cool on the baking sheet.

Once cooled, break the lavash into individual pieces along the pre-cut lines.

Enjoy:

Serve the crispy lavash with your favorite dips and cheeses or enjoy it on its own as a crunchy and satisfying snack!
