Daniella Byck, Editor in Chief
Daniella is a senior studying Journalism and Digital Studies. She has been a part of The Dish since 2014 and is a former Food For Thought editor. Daniella loves learning the stories of culture, history and connection through the medium of food. For her, great food is born from strong memories and a vibrant sense of community. She hopes to one day create the podcast version of Chef’s Table and write a cookbook inspired by the strong & fierce women cooks in her family.
Olivia Jones, Features Editor
Olivia is a junior double majoring in Journalism and Spanish. This is her first year working for The Dish and as Feature-Section Editor she has had a blast brainstorming, writing and working with the writers to create a delectable magazine! Olivia aspires to one day find a career in magazines, with hopes of landing at Southern Living Magazine. So far, her experience at The Dish has enhanced her love for print and excites her for future their future publications!
Elizabeth Geboy, Recipes Editor
Elizabeth lives to express her connection to the environment through working with sustainable, local food. She is majors in both Botany and Environmental Studies. She focuses on learning about the plants we cook with, and incorporates a strong seasonally-based perspective in her cooking practices. This is her second year as an editor for The Dish, through which I am able to share how to create good food with few ingredients and a little time. Some of her best memories are of cooking with friends and family, and she hopes to share ideas and knowledge so other people can experience the same love for food that she does.
Carli Gordon, Social Media & Marketing Director
Carli is a senior studying marketing in the business school but really is an aspiring restaurant owner and bread baker at heart. She hopes to be a liaison for the vibrant Madison food scene and community members through social media and marketing initiatives. Carli has worked with Slow Food UW throughout her years at Madison and is excited to continue to promote sustainable, nutritious, and small-scale Madison food systems. She loves exploring new cities through cafes and restaurants, trying a little bite at each.
Zoey Rugel, Art Director
Zoey is a junior from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is studying Life Sciences Communication and Community & Environmental Sociology, in addition to also pursuing certificates in Digital Studies and Environmental Studies. She is new to The Dish, joining in fall 2017. Zoey is specifically interested in food and its environmental impacts and hopes to eventually work in the communications or marketing field for a company or non-profit that reflects this interest.
